Forward Alex Stepheson will make his long-awaited USC debut Friday night against Coppin State, Trojans coach Kevin O’Neill said.
The 6-foot-9 Stepheson - who sat out last season as a transfer and missed the first two games this season because of a knee injury - practiced Thursday and is expected to come off the bench.
“I don’t know how much he’ll play,” O’Neill said. “But it’s good to have anybody back.”
USC also welcomes back senior Marcus Johnson, who missed the first two games because of an eligibility issue.
Johnson is slated to start in place of forward Kasey Cunningham. Cunningham is out for the year because of a torn ACL, O’Neill confirmed.
