USC’s offense is getting healthy at the right time.
Barring any setbacks, the Trojans should have receiver Damian Williams, tight end Anthony McCoy and fullback Stanley Havili available for the first time since the Notre Dame game on Oct. 17. USC had 501 yards of offense that day, its second-highest total of the season.
Play-caller Jeremy Bates is particularly pleased to have Williams back.
“He’s the biggest weapon we’ve got out there,” Bates said.
“Just look at what he does when he’s got the ball in his hands. He’s a threat. His route-running ability, his yards after the catch — we need him. The guy’s a complete player.
“It was amazing to have him back. He just wants to help us win. He’s going to do whatever it takes.

Even if they are loaded, you have Pete Carroll, Bates, and Morton running the show. That’s like leaving a loaded handgun or a fine tuned sportscar in the hands of a 10 year old.
Pete Carroll…let’s see…the guy that led us to 7 straight pac 10 titles, 2 national championships, … I guess I’ll take exception to your childish analogy. Who’s more like a 10 year old? I guess that would be Jay.
Fight On! Beat the bRuins!
“the guy that led us to 7 straight pac 10 titles, 2 national championships, ”
There’s something missing in that line. Specifically some “guys” missing. “The guy who along with Norm Chow, Ed Orgeron, Tim Davis, Pola, Walker, Sark, Kiffin, Holt, led and laid the foundation for 7 straight pac 10 titles and 2 natl titles.
Oh wait, I forgot, Pete doesn’t share the credit, but he’s so quick to blame anybody and everybody for missteps. Pete want’s ALL the glory and none of the blame, that’s a typical 10 year old.
Geez..just when I was dreaming about how good the Offense will be next year, Jay just kicked me in the stomach.
Very good point. As long as the real OC (Pete Carroll) is pulling the strings, next years Offense will be sputtering and maddeningly inefficient.
PLEASE! If anything, you must BEAT THE BRUINS!
