Quick hitters from USC’s Monday practice:

** Leading receiver Damian Williams isn’t sure whether he’ll be able to play against Stanford because of a high ankle sprain. Williams attended practice with a boot on his right foot.

** Tight end Anthony McCoy did individual work, including running and jumping, and hopes to return this week after missing the past two games because of a sprained ankle.

** Defensive end Everson Griffen took some reps against the scout team and said he will play after missing the Arizona State game because of turf toe.

** Receiver Brandon Carswell and tailback Curtis McNeal did not participate because of sprained toes. …

** Linebacker Chris Galippo missed practice because of a bruised and inflamed right knee but said he would return Tuesday.

** Safety Drew McAllister (hip) worked on the side.

** Receiver David Ausberry (leg) remaind out.

Is it more important to have DW or McCo back?

  • Blue says:

I say McCoy is more important because he is a threat anytime he’s on the field. DW is not as consistant.

  • GMoneyTrojans says:

It’s DW by leaps and bounds without his amazing punt return TDs and 75 yard receptions we would have lost against both osu and asu.

  • Kaimana says:

Both are major factors in the game, it would be nice to get both of them on the field!
