UPDATE: WEIGHT-ROOM ACCIDENT CONFIRMED

ESPN’s Shelley Smith is reporting that USC tailback Stafon Johnson was hurt in a freak weight-room accident earlier today.

According to this report, a weight or bar fell on Johnson’s throat.

School spokesman Tim Tessalone did not have any further information as of this writing, but a statement is expected soon.
