Madden NFL Football - the ultimate time vampire for football fans with video game consoles - hit store shelves with its most recent addition, Madden 10, at 12:01 a.m. today with a familiar face for USC fans.

On this year’s cover is Troy Polamalu (left), the former USC safety who plays for the NFL champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Polamalu shares the cover with Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

The game is available for Xbox 360 (pictured), Playstation III and Wii gaming consoles. It can be purchased online or at most department stores. Call first to make sure they game’s still in stock.

Expect a few workplaces - and a few family functions - to be struck with Madden flu today and through the weekend.
