This one slipped through the cracks while I was vacationing and tending to a family matter but seems worth revisiting:
Starting in 2011, the Rose Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN instead of ABC. In other words, if you don’t have cable or a dish, you won’t be able to see USC’s 77th consecutive appearance. (I exaggerate because I care.)
This is hardly a surprising development in this age of DVRs and Slingboxes, but it also feels sad in a way to lose yet another sports tradition.
How do you feel about the Rose Bowl moving to ESPN starting in 2011?

You forgot the digital converter box!! :)
Nobody covers the sport very well. Way too many commercials. They stop play just to run an ad. That’s just wrong. Kills the flow of the game. Then, after an interesting play, they don’t replay, they do an interveiw or show the crowd. That’s not what I want to see.
With Keith Jackson no longer calling the game it really doesn’t matter. It isn’t the same without the best voice in college football.
