LBs Brown, Galippo won’t play at Oregon State

** Reserve linebackers Luthur Brown and Chris Galippo, both on the mend from back injuries, won’t play against Oregon State, USC coach Pete Carroll said. Galippo, who had back surgery in July, said he’d return for the Oregon game Oct. 4.

** Seen at practice Monday: scouts from the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, plus Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Flea, who is taking classes at USC.
