Sanchez’s knee improving

Team physician Dr. James Tibone examined Mark Sanchez’s injured left knee today, and “it looked better than he thought” it would, Sanchez said.

Sanchez dislocated his left knee Friday. USC coach Pete Carroll termed him day to day as of Monday, although other estimates have Sanchez missing several weeks.

Sanchez spent Tuesday’s scrimmage at the Coliseum watching from the sideline on a crutch.
