USC depth chart: Offense

July 24th, 2008, 4:45 pm · 2 Comments · posted by MICHAEL LEV, OCREGISTER.COM

When it comes to depth charts, we’re going deep.

Our goal is to keep you as up-to-date as possible on whatever depth-chart changes Pete Carroll makes at USC. (We’re going only two- or three-deep, depending on the position, to preserve our fingers and sanity.)

Here’s how the offense shapes up, according to the 2008 USC media guide:

SPLIT END

  1. Patrick Turner/David Ausberry
  2. Garrett Green
  3. Brandon Carswell

LEFT TACKLE

  1. Charles Brown
  2. Butch Lewis
  3. Tyron Smith

LEFT GUARD

  1. Jeff Byers
  2. Matt Meyer
  3. Martin Coleman

CENTER

  1. Kristofer O’Dowd
  2. Michael Reardon
  3. Garrett Nolan

RIGHT GUARD

  1. Zack Heberer/Thomas Herring
  2. Khaled Holmes

RIGHT TACKLE

  1. Alex Parsons
  2. Nick Howell
  3. David Clinco

TIGHT END

  1. Anthony McCoy
  2. Rhett Ellison
  3. Jimmy Miller

FLANKER

  1. Vidal Hazelton
  2. Damian Williams
  3. Ronald Johnson

QUARTERBACK

  1. Mark Sanchez
  2. Mitch Mustain
  3. Aaron Corp

FULLBACK

  1. Stanley Havili
  2. Adam Goodman
  3. Matt Hillier

TAILBACK

  1. Joe McKnight/C.J. Gable/Stafon Johnson/Allen Bradford

Coming up: Defense.

This is a bit outdated >>>>

TE - Blake Ayles will be even with Anthony McCoy

WR- Hazelton, Rojo, Ausberry, FR -BRICE BUTLER - already showing that he will be a top dawg.

    RT - FR Matt Kalil
LT - FR Tyron Smith one or both might START ,,
    that’s how good they are.

  2. MICHAEL LEV, OCREGISTER.COM Says:

Thanks for the insight, Thomas. As stated, these are the depth charts out of the media guide. I’m viewing them as a jumping-off point, with many, many updates and changes to come as camp gets going.
